Tempered glass is approximately 3-5 times tougher than ordinary glass and can withstand temperatures of up to approximately 200°C. If broken, the shards will not hurt anyone. Even if it breaks, the shards will not hurt anyone.

It can be used as a replacement top for coffee tables, desks, etc. and protects the existing table lettering from damage.
